Wellness Screening
One of the programs we are currently offering in Teller County is our free Wellness Screening. This program is only available for worksites and is a great way to get a baseline measurement for current health. The following screenings are available:
- Blood pressure, heart rate, body mass index (BMI)
- % Body Fat
- Cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, flexibility, and balance
All test results are confidential, and additional programs are available based on the specific needs of the worksite, such as informational classes on:
- nutrition
- physical activity
- overall health
Other team and individual challenges include:
- The President’s Challenge (track daily physical activity online individually or as a team and earn prizes for reaching your goals)
- 5 A Day (promotes eating more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis)
- America on the Move (a pedometer program that encourages participants to increase their daily physical activity)
These are fun ways to get employees actively involved in their health while providing friendly competition and team building in the process.
Worksite Classes:
- Dining with Diabetes: A class to assist in managing your diabetes or how to eat to prevent diabetes if you are at risk.
