Free Fitness Hikes at Mueller State Park!
Volunteer Naturalist Nancy Remmler leads two sessions of free fitness hikes at Mueller State Park starting this Saturday, May 17th. The hikes consist of two 6-week sessions and will all start at 9am meeting at the visitor center auditorium. There will be a very brief presentation before the hike of the day outlining what techniques and trails will be covered in that session. The tips will cover various hiking techniques/equipment, what to bring in your pack for a day hike or for a longer backpacking trip, strengthening exercises that can be done while training for a big hike and also some info on park history and different points of interest on the trail during rest stops.
